Fire Safety and Evacuation Regulation for The Samilton Hotel
Emergency evacuation procedures:
The following arrangements have been made by the hotel management to ensure fast and professional action in case of an emergency:
1. Technical Installations
Smoke Detectors: rising smoke triggers the alarm of the concerned area and sends a signal to the hotel staff. Through the signal the staff can identify the type of alarm and the area concerned.
Emergency Alarm: should an alarm occur, hotel associates will conduct a rapid investigation of the alarm’s cause. Please remain calm and listen to instructions. Trained hotel staff will advise all guests of the nature of the alarm and actions that need to be taken.
2. Escape Routes
In the event that a hotel evacuation is requested, follow the evacuation map that is located at the back of your guest room door. Take your room key and exit the room. Do not use the elevator and proceed to the closest stairway and exit the hotel. If you are in a function room or a food and beverage outlet, proceed to the nearest emergency exit and exit the building.
All lifts will immediately go to ground floor once a fire alarm has been activated.
DO NOT USE LIFTS IN CASE OF A FIRE!
4. Disabled Guests
All disabled guests are registered at reception and housekeeping. A member of the fire-fighting department will assist with evacuation.
